What a bum!

Today's Pooch Cafe'
Music: Keith Urban - Days Go By

Holy crap, I slept in until noon today! I could have probably stayed in bed longer, but I figured I should do something productive with my day. I might even go to the Salvation Army and try to pick up some chairs and a table.

Got my movie watched and the report for that done. I searched all over my apartment for almost an hour trying to find the stupid sheet that the teacher handed out that tells us what we have to write for the movie. So I gave up, having searched every square inch of my one room and having no luck. I did the best I could, and I hope it's sufficient. Eeek. Now all I have to do is read some stuff for my Earth Science class, answer some questions that are due on Thursday, and something else. I don't remember.

Oh, and change of plans on the new "Ab machine of the week" that I want...I watched infomercials for quite some time last night, and the one I was drawn to was the "6 Second Abs" machine, for only 2 easy payments of $29.95." That's only $60! And it works in 7 days! I'm such a sucker for this stuff. I guess we were selling the Ab Lounge at Kmart, but I think there were only a few of them there, 'cause I saw 2 go through my line, and they're all gone now. Drats. It was "only" $99.99. Cheaper than the commericals, I guess.

Again. I'm such a sucker for that stuff. But the fact that I can't afford it keeps me from buying shit like that, or I would. Maybe I'll ask for it for my birthday (5 days left) from Mom and Dad. Only $30 each! Kidding. At least I wouldn't be paying for it that way *wink wink*

Alright. I'm going to go shower, check out ye olde Salvation Army for some furniture...and figure out how to fit a table in my car. Wish me luck!

relaxin'

Today's Pooch Cafe'

Wow! I found three bills in my drawer from Where's George, and one was from my hometown, one from New Jersey, and one from Pennsylvania! The NJ one took over 4 years to get put back in the system. The PA, almost 2 years.

Monday is homework day. Watch Spiderman and do a report on the soundtrack. Then do something with my Earth Science thingie. I don't remember. Writing some paper. Gotta find some more articles for music.

Been watching The Surreal Life wayyyyyy too much. I'm sucked in.

Sometimes...

Today's Pooch Cafe'

Work, work, work. Seems that's all I do around here. And school. I don't know which sucks more. Rawr. Just having a grouchy day 'cause people don't listen to what I say and I hate having to repeat myself. And it's not like I mumble or don't word myself clearly. They just don't listen or are uninterested.

Saw a bazillion babies today at work for some reason, and got 2 of the new Fifty dollar bills today :) They feel funny. They're really thin, and almost too colorful for my taste. I guess they're making a new $10 bill soon, too, with colors. I bet it's purple and blue.

Trevour, one of the guys I work with occasionally, is turning 21 on Tuesday, so I might go out to the bar when I get off work for a quick drink and buy him a birthday drink. He said he'd buy me a candybar for my birthday. Better be a good one.

Then Saturday's my birthday, the big ol' two-two. Time to bake myself a cake, with the help of miss Amy, and perhaps some mixed drinks back at my apartment later on in the day/night. I did get my birthday off, so I don't even have to work, so that's great, I was pretty excited about that. Which means I get 3 days in the past 3 weeks to sleep in. Awesome.

Still struggling with my Music Methods paper, and with Biology. I don't think I did well on that test I took on Friday. I guess we'll see on Wednesday (another day that I don't have to work! Whoopee!) I sure got a lot of days off next week. Kinda weird. But nice, 'cause I need it.

Anywho. Enough of me. I'll try to be happier next time. No one likes a grumpy gus. G'night!

This isn't exact feelings...but a lot of it rings true for me.

"Sometimes" by Ash

Can't sleep in the city, you're far away,
Cigarettes keep you skinny, and your mind off the rain,

Oh sometimes, sometimes,
Oh sometimes, sometimes

Feelings are distant, I know guilt by name,
It was the hardest thing, watching you slip away,
Oh sometimes, sometimes
Oh sometimes, sometimes,

Sometimes it happens, feelings die,
Whole years are lost in the blink of an eye,
We once had it all but events conspired,
Sometimes

Good morning sweet thing, you're safe in my hands,
I am no saint, but I understand,
Oh sometimes, sometimes,
Oh sometimes, sometimes

Sometimes, it happens feelings die,
Whole years are lost in the blink of an eye,
We once had it all but events conspired,
Sometimes

Now that it's over, it is through,
It gets me every time I think of you,
Sometimes it happens, feelings die,
Sometimes

I miss your warm skin, beside me at night,
I miss your flesh, in the dawn light,
Oh sometimes, sometimes,
Oh sometimes, sometimes

Sometimes, it happens feelings die,
Whole years are lost in the blink of an eye,
We once had it all but events conspired,
Sometimes,
Saturn's decline in my star sign,
Seasonal adjustments, stars realign,
Sometimes it happens, feelings die,
Oh sometimes.

The Ab Lounge

This is what I want for my birthday. It's only 12 easy payments of $14.95, so c'mon folks. Let's get it started. Or something.

I'm so bored. I should be doing homework right now, but it's so hard to when I don't have a proper table to sit at. Boo. Now. Back to my attempt ad productivity.

Kmart is sexist

Today's Pooch Cafe'

Last night when I was at work, the front end manager told Nathan to go out onto the floor and straighten up out there, while he told me to stay up at the registers and dust. WTF. Nathan has only been cashiering for a week. I've been there for three. Not fair. I asked my front end manager, and he said that he had to have someone up front to cashier. Duh. But why me? Because we needed the handicap register open. Which just happened to be mine. Grr.

And earlier in the week, one of the guys who works out in "Hardlines," which is the automotive stuff, electronics, toys, paint, and pantry, told me that because I'm a girl, I'll probably get put out in "Softlines," the clothing, jewelry, makeup, and baby stuff area, which I really don't want to do. So I'm going to have to talk to the Hardlines manager tonight if he's there and tell him I think I could benefit the store more if I were out in the Hardlines department. I just want to get off the registers, basically.

Blah. I just need to get away from the registers. The "assistant" managers or whatever, the people who are my age or younger, who are telling me what to do and how to do it and all this shit, just because they're in a higher ranking position, are driving me bonkers. I'll shout at someone if they don't get away from me and stop breathing down my neck.

Gmail

Ack! My Gmail is acting weird. It keeps telling me I have new messages in my spam folder and in my inbox, but there's nothing there...sometimes I can find it in a label/folder, and sometimes I can find it if I look up emails that a contact has sent me...but otherwise...it's just not there...It's so weird. But it's in the beta phase, so whatever, guess I'll have to wait for the bugs to get smushed.

Plus, half the links don't work, like I can't invite someone to Gmail from my computer, but I can from someone else's computer, and I've changed all my security settings and stuff like the troubleshooter told me to. Grr. Any ideas?

Cellular One Must Die

Today's Pooch Cafe'

Well, my freakin' cell phone got disconnected. AGAIN. Not because of a payment not being made or anything like that. Which, by the way, was their fault last time. Anyway, it was because my address was still set for when I lived in the dorms. Which was five months ago since I've even had that address. So FIVE MONTHS LATER they decide to disconnect my phone so that I will call them up and see what's going on. Because I needed to change my address to something current, because apparently someone sent back my mail, five months later. WTF? Whatever. I got my phone reconnected and I didn't have to pay any stupid reconnection fee. So that's good, I suppose.

Went into work to get my schedule changed around a little bit so that I can have my birthday night off, and the morning after off, in case I feel the need to liquor it up. We'll see.

Also, my parents got back from New York tonight, and on their way back home from the airport, they stopped here to show me some pictures, say hi, and get dinner. Mom picked up a "Who's on First?" t-shirt from the Baseball Hall of Fame, and an "I heart NY" sweater/longsleeve for winter time. It was good to talk to them again, since it'd been a week since we last talked, and I call Mom up at least every three days to harass her for a bit.

Now I have to try to find an article for my Music Methods class. Adios!

Some Beach...Somewhere...

Today's Pooch Cafe'
Music: Blake Shelton - Some Beach

Arg. Been kinda busy at work this weekend. Amy spent the night last night, and we accomplished nothing except staying up WAYYYYY too late, considering I had to work at 8am today. Oh well. I managed to make it okay, didn't have any old ladies bitch at me too bad, so that was kinda nice.

Plus, Amy did all my dishes! I left in the morning before she did, obviously, and while she was here before she left, she did all my dishes :) That was so sweet of her. I really didn't expect her to do that 'cause she jokingly said she would. Made me feel mucho better. She's gonna come over so we can work on a Bio extra credit thing (which I need badly) here in a little bit, but damn, I'm about ready for a freakin' nap. But I don't have to work tomorrow or Tuesday, so THANK YOU LORD.

I'm gonna ask to work in the morning on my birthday which is a Saturday, and either not work at all the next day, Sunday, or work in the evening on Sunday, since I think I want some alcohol in celebration of turning a whopping 22 years old. (Send money, inquire for my address at bubbletoes@gmail.com.)

Anyway, I'm gonna go lay down 'til Amy gets here...Adios.

Sappy List

Today's Pooch Cafe'
Music: Toby Keith - Stays in Mexico

I know yesterday I had my "Bitch List" because I was being grouchy and didn't have a great day. Well, today in my Earth Science class, the teacher was talking about science projects in 4th grade, and that got me to thinking about my dad helping me with it, and then that got me thinking about all the things my dad has done for me throughout my life, no matter how difficult I was being with him. So today, even though Dad never reads this thing, I just wanted to say thank you and put up a list of things he's done for me. Thanks Dad :)

  • Taken out splinters and cactus needles from my hands and feet.
  • Helped me set up lamps for my science project and helped me plant my bean plants.
  • Taught me how to play baseball, and all the rules. Watched baseball games with me, even though he doesn't watch sports.
  • Coached me on my baseball team because I was the only girl there, and I'm sure he was just looking out for me.
  • Drove me to Casper when my best friend moved so I could still see her.
  • Taught me to drive a manual transmission, even though I'd given up on it.
  • Taught me to shoot a gun, even though that was probably a dangerous idea.
  • Rescued me twice when I wrecked my car, once in a ditch and he had to cut me out of a barb-wire fence, and once when I ran into another car and mine was declared dead at the site.
  • Helped me move into the dorms and my apartment, moving heavy furniture with me even though his back's not that great.
  • Supported me financially throughout my entire life.
  • Taught me how to be a good person and to respect others, even if I hate them.
  • And finally, like he told me through my entire life, he's the nicest guy I've ever met.
Thank you.
